The Woodland Celtic Games & Festival, a nonprofit corporation, was created in the Spring 2017 to organize and present a public celebration of the Celtic cultures from Scotland, Ireland, and Wales. The Games and Festival will offer traditional competitions, entertainment, activities, food, and education, in a welcoming and family friendly atmosphere.
Most of our members have decades of volunteer experience and a deep commitment to promoting and preserving the history and traditions of our Celtic family and in providing an enjoyable and educational experience for our guests. We enjoy interacting with our participants and guests, making sure that everyone is having a good time. The organizing committee comes together about 8/9 months before the Games and Festival to begin detailed planning.
For those of you who have attended other Games and Festivals we are committed to maintaining the activities you’ve come to enjoy and adding new venues and activities for your enjoyment.
As with any volunteer activity we salute and recognize all the many community volunteers without whom we could not make this all happen. If you would like to be a part of this slightly crazy but dedicated and fun bunch please let us know, more hands make the job go smoother, plus you just might get a ticket to the Games and Festival!
We hope that you are following us on Facebook. We love hearing from you. Our website will continue to provide updated information about the April 28-29, 2018 Games and Festival, be sure to check it out.
Looking forward to welcoming you to the 2018 Woodland Celtic Games and Festival, April 28 and 29, 2018, Yolo County Fairground, Woodland, California.
